The Eastern Cape continues to redefine the education system in the province, by addressing the schools' infrastructural backlog.

Bomvini Primary School is a newly built school at Ward 5 in Libode - OR Tambo district. It forms part of the ASIDI project and is a collaboration effort by Basic Education and the Eastern Cape Department of Education.

This R18.3 million school accommodates 143 learners in total, has 7 classrooms, a multi-purpose centre, fully-resourced science lab, library/resource centre, computer lab and state of the art ablution system. It is built to accommodate disabled persons, from classrooms to its bathrooms.

The school was officially opened by Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, joined by Education MEC, Fundile Gade - during day 1 of the working visit to the OR Tambo district.
