Isiqalo Youth Fund is doubling down on its commitment to the Eastern Cape's economic future through supporting young business owners. Most recently, a significant boost to a promising youth-led enterprise, Qinebe Global, with ambitious growth plans, has been handed over in the form of kitchen equipment valued at R100,000. This investment aims to drive this East London-based catering company to new levels, strengthening its operations and fostering sustainable economic development in the area.
Owned by 31-year-old Somila Tyityi, this thriving home-based business is on the brink of significant expansion. Tyityi operates using a pop-up restaurant model, where he sets up temporary dining experiences, inviting customers to enjoy his expertly crafted, flavorful dishes. The investment will dramatically increase their food production capacity, enhance service quality, and pave the way for a larger, more efficient operation.
Imagine the possibilities of handling larger catering orders, streamlining food preparation, and ultimately, boosting revenue; all now within reach thanks to the Fund's support. Beyond immediate gains, this investment lays a solid foundation for Qinebe Global's long-term vision of establishing a sit-down restaurant and expanding its culinary footprint.
Enthusiastic Tyityi stated, We are incredibly grateful. This kitchen equipment is a turning point for us. It will enable us to expand our operations, serve a wider customer base, and bring us closer to our dream of establishing a full-scale restaurant”.
This initiative perfectly embodies the Isiqalo Youth Fund s core mission, which is to empower young entrepreneurs, spark job creation, and drive economic growth within the Eastern Cape. Qinebe Global is already demonstrating this impact, having created four jobs to date and committed to nurturing local culinary talent.
The investment is not just about equipment; it's about investing in the dreams and potential of young people and the future of the Eastern Cape economy”, Premier Mabuyane said.
