Eastern Cape Premier Mabuyane Unveils New Mandate for 7th Administration

Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has unveiled a bold new mandate for the provincial government in the Seventh Administration. The mandate aims to drive substantial growth and development across the province. The announcement was made during the official opening of the provincial legislature in Ntabankulu, which outlined six strategic priorities to transform the province's infrastructure, economy, and social services.

The Premier emphasized that the Provincial Development Plan remains the cornerstone of the provincial government s grand plan for accelerated growth and development of the Eastern Cape in the next five years. He announced six priorities aligned with the Medium-Term Development Plan that represent focus areas for the Seventh Administration:

1. Putting the people of the Eastern Cape to work

2. Building our industries for an inclusive economy

3. Tackling the high cost of living

4. Investing in our people

5. Defending democracy and advancing freedom

6. Building a better Africa and the world

The new priorities set forth by Premier Mabuyane represent a comprehensive and ambitious plan for the Eastern Cape's future. As the province embarks on this transformation journey, the focus will be on delivering tangible results that improve the quality of life for all residents and ensuring the vision for a thriving Eastern Cape becomes a reality.
