A youth-owned enterprise in kuGompo City has received a major boost following an investment of more than R1.2 million from the Eastern Cape Provincial Government through the Isiqalo Youth Fund programme.

Anele Creations (Pty) Ltd was handed a 4x4 Isuzu bakkie, a Roland Multifunctional Printer and accessories valued at R1 249 572.97. The investment is aimed at strengthening the business’s capacity, supporting growth and creating opportunities for sustainable economic participation.

Established in 2014 and operational since 2017, Anele Creations is owned and directed by Anele Duma, who also serves as the company’s Head Graphic Designer. The business operates across the printing, graphic design, IT and internet services sectors, with a strong focus on digital and large-format printing.

Its services include general and large-format printing, graphic design, screen printing, internet café services, videography and embroidery. The company serves a diverse customer base, including small businesses, members of the public, event organisers, funeral homes and festivals in East London and surrounding areas.

Duma brings extensive experience to the business, having previously worked as a professional graphic designer at Silulo Ulutho Technologies. He further developed his skills through a Learn 2 Earn Graphic Design certificate from Stellenbosch University and a Certificate in Business Administration from Sandton Technical College. “The new equipment and vehicle will enhance the company’s ability to deliver services well, grow its reach and respond to growing demand”, says Duma.

Initiatives such as the Isiqalo Youth Fund reflect the Eastern Cape Provincial Government’s commitment to invest in young people not only as beneficiaries, but as active participants in building a more inclusive and sustainable economy by supporting these young entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow their businesses and contribute to job creation in the province.
