Yesterday the country observed Human Rights Day and the Eastern Cape province commemorated this significant day in the history of South Africa at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane.

The day is commemorated under the national theme: Consolidating and sustaining Human Rights culture into the future.

The Eastern Cape Province also observed 60 years since the forced removals of African people to Mdantsane and also remembered "Happy Boy" Mgxaji, as one of the legendary boxers to come out of Mdantsane.
