Celebrations are underway with the launch of yet another ground-breaking factory at East London Industrial Development Zone (IDZ).
The new investor, Dräger Safety Zenith (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2004 and is part of the Dräger South Africa group of companies, which has strong ownership ties with Dräger Global based in Sweden. The company is headquartered in Johannesburg.
The new cutting-edge facility manufactures safety and medical equipment including dust masks for mining houses, construction companies, as well as wholesale and will target both the domestic and international markets.
During the launch, Premier Oscar Lubabalo Mabuyane shared his gratitude to Dräger for their 135 million rand investment in the Eastern Cape and highlighted that its existence will avail 96 direct manufacturing jobs in the zone.
